Sean Spellman brings more than two decades of experience leading large-scale real estate development and construction platforms across the U.S. and internationally. As Executive Vice President of Risk Management & Strategy at LV Collective, he draws on a deep background in cross-sector development to lead enterprise risk initiatives, streamline interdepartmental operations, and integrate systems and processes that support sustainable growth.
Previously, Sean served as Chief Development Officer at CA Ventures, where he was responsible for all development and construction activity across the firm’s global platform, spanning student housing, multifamily, industrial, office and medical office/life sciences divisions. Under his leadership, CA delivered more than 20,000 residential units and over 12 million square feet of commercial space across the U.S., UK, and Europe. He also served as Co-President of CA Student Living and CEO of Catalyst Construction, CA’s internal general contracting and consulting services business.
Sean began his career in design/build construction at McShane Development and went on to hold senior roles at Northern Builders and Opus Development Company, where he led multifaceted development initiatives and built a national student housing platform.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and remains actively involved through the Presidential Council and Civil Engineering Advisory Board. Sean is a past president of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and serves on the Board of Directors for Catholic Charities of Chicago. He also supports Kids 4 Kids, a holiday gift initiative for underserved children.
