Paseo Selects Ten Artists for Artist in Residence Program

AUSTIN, Texas – Aug. 21, 2025 – Paseo, the latest luxury development from Austin-based LV Collective, has announced the inaugural class of its Artist in Residence program. Opening this fall in Austin’s Rainey Street district, the 48-story tower will feature hospitality-driven amenities, curated food and beverage offerings, and private living accommodations for the ten selected artists, who will each receive one year of rent-free housing and the opportunity to engage with the local community.

“Paseo was designed to reflect the creative energy of Rainey Street and the broader Austin community, and our Artist-in-Residence program is a direct extension of that vision,” said LV Collective President of Multifamily Alex Perkins. “Supporting these talented artists by providing space where art, community and daily life intersect not only enriches the fabric of Paseo but also strengthens Austin’s reputation as a hub for culture and connection.”  

The experience-based design puts wellness and connection at the center through upscale amenities including Daydreamer, an in-house café and bar, coworking spaces, a 12th-level pool deck with bar service, a two-story fitness center, yoga studio, on-site restaurant concepts and more. 

The Paseo Artist in Residence program welcomes ten artists who bring years of experience and a shared commitment to engaging with the Paseo community and broader Rainey Street Historic District. Their practices include muralism, painting, sculpture, photography, music, mosaic and production.  

• Xavier Alvarado – Austin-based multidisciplinary artist exploring everything from murals to immersive media, using color and language to spark connection and reflection.  

• Felipe Gomez – Colombian-born, Austin-based multimedia artist known for large-scale installations that blend nature, technology and human emotion through vivid colors and layered materials. 

• Sisi Berry – Venezuelan American artist based in Austin who writes, composes and performs soul rock ’n’ roll and Latin music in Spanish and English, earning acclaim at notable venues. 

• Joshua Strauther – Singer, keyboardist and producer from Long Beach, California. A touring musician and songwriter, he has collaborated with several acclaimed artists.  

• J Muzacz – Public artist and author from Austin renowned for his large-scale mosaic murals. He is the founder of the Mosaic Workshop, a studio that hosts community-led projects involving hundreds of participants.  

• Ryan King – Singer, songwriter and producer for the Austin-based band Night Cap. He is driven by a passion for honest, human moments and the ways music can connect people.  

• Alex Alfonso – Singer, songwriter and musician in Night Cap, performing alongside fellow resident artist Ryan King. After committing to music full-time in 2024, he is now writing and recording new material with the band. 

• Evan Duvall – Austin-based cultural producer and founder of ONO Agency, an experiential agency curating immersive events for artists, providing a sense of belonging and possibility. 

• Steef Crombach – Curator, educator and soft sculpture artist from the Netherlands known for her experiential fabric work and curated award-winning exhibitions.  

• Noah Dorr – Austin-based American contemporary artist whose practice spans several disciplines including fine art, public art and graphic design.

During the residency, artists will engage with both the Paseo and Rainey Street communities through social media and hosted events, ensuring that art and creativity remain central as the district continues to evolve. Each artist will also make a major contribution — such as a large-scale event or public art installation — at Paseo or within the surrounding district. At the end of the program, each artist will submit a portfolio of work and a written reflection on their experience.
