As Executive Vice President of Development, Chris Johnson is responsible for overseeing the entitlement and management of consultants for the student and multifamily development platforms, managing processes to procure municipal approvals and permits, executing design development, and collaborating with LV’s professionals on construction cost alignment.

Prior to LV, Chris was responsible for managing development pursuits from schematic design through construction documents in over 40 North American markets. His responsibilities included overseeing aspects of conceptual design through early construction and construction management for $3.5+ billion in total capitalization, including mixed-use, student housing, multifamily, and hospitality asset classes. He previously was active in infill mixed-use multifamily retail, medical office, and industrial design-build in the Midwest. Chris started his architectural and planning career in a nationally active commercial and residential multi-disciplined architectural firm, which was named 1999-2000 Colorado firm of the year.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Louisiana State University. He is a PMP Certified Professional Project Manager and a LEED BD+C accredited professional.
