David is the visionary force behind LV Collective, setting the firm’s long-term direction and serving as the primary architect of its growth and capital strategy. He pairs a rare instinct for forward-thinking design and placemaking with a sophisticated command of complex capital structures, identify the opportunities others overlook, and align the capital and relationships needed to bring ambitious projects to life. Having built a deep and talented leadership team to execute across development, investment, marketing, property management, design, and operations, David focuses his energy on the firm’s vision, its partnerships, and the culture that allows its people to do their best work—an environment defined as much by a genuine investment in everyone’s success as by the caliber of the projects it produces. 

David founded LV Collective in 2012 with a vision to reshape the future of the built environment, starting in Austin and expanding into a national platform. Since its inception, the company has acquired, developed, and managed student housing, multifamily, creative office, residential, retail, restaurant, mixed-use, and office assets valued in excess of $6 billion. Today, LV Collective operates as a fully integrated platform—spanning ground-up development, adaptive reuse, value-add acquisitions, and strategic repositioning, with operations increasingly managed in-house through LV Collective Management. David leads the firm’s capital formation efforts and stewards its relationships with institutional and private investors, employing value-add and opportunistic strategies to deliver above-average, risk-adjusted returns. As a privately held company, LV retains the flexibility to underwrite and execute deals across asset types, sizes, and structures, allowing it to move decisively on the best opportunities in the market. 

David is active in industry and community organizations including the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and the Real Estate Council of Austin. He also serves on the ULI (Urban Land Institute) Leadership Council and as a board member of the Downtown Austin Alliance and the Rainey Street Business Coalition. David and his wife, Lauren, reside in Central Austin with their two children.
