Interiors and Curation Intern
Pia Trautwein

Pia has an innate eye for aesthetics and a passion for indulging in all things visually pleasing.

As a the Interiors & Curation Intern, she participates in onsite FF&E installation and styling, contributes to the development and maintenance of material collections, prepares documents such as floor plans and mood boards, and collaborates with a diverse team to gain valuable real-world experience in planning and designing projects.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design with a minor in Interior Design from the University of Texas at Austin, Pia brings a unique 360 perspective to her work. She seamlessly leverages the crossovers between communicating a brand’s personality and visually stopping you right in your tracks.

Besides being a Design Fellow of UT’s Anna Hiss Gym Residency, Pia was chosen to be part the Accessory Design, Development and Merchandising course in collaboration with Kendra Scott. From conducting thorough research and analysis to designing, developing prototypes, and mastering the art of merchandising, Pia explored the entire product life cycle.

Driven by a strong desire to explore and try new things, Pia constantly pushes her own limits to see how far she can go. She values honest conversations and embraces active imaginations, always seeking to collaborate with individuals who possess even better ideas. Growing up in both Europe and the United States has granted her the opportunity to travel extensively, cultivating a diverse and empathetic outlook on the world. This perspective profoundly influences her approach to design, as she strives to think, see and design with an open-minded and socially conscious attitude.

When she is not soaking up sunshine, Pia is a lover of travel, dogs, exploring neighborhoods, sunsets, quality time and long walks. Despite her second-rate running skills, she remains dedicated to an active lifestyle. When it comes to indulging in simple pleasures, nothing satisfies her more than a perfect fruit bowl and strawberry milk.
