PHOENIX – May 15, 2023 – Moontower, a new Phoenix property delivered by Austin, TX-based multifamily real estate developer LV Collective, announces its Artist in Residence program. The program provides selected artists with rent-free, private living space at Moontower, while offering an opportunity to be involved with the arts community at Roosevelt Row. Moontower is LV’s newest multifamily project, located at 811 North 3rd Street, Phoenix, AZ, ready for move-in this August.
Applications will open on May 15 and close June 8, at midnight MST. Selected artists will be announced July 7. The program is open to anyone who is actively creating, working in any medium and in any stage of their career. With an open interpretation to who qualifies as an artist, applicants may include, but are not limited to, photographers, content creators, graphic designers, painters, sculptors, illustrators, musicians, chefs and baristas. Applicants will be reviewed based on their current work, previous work and exhibitions, experiences and how they plan to utilize their living space during their residence.
During residency, artists in the program are expected to host public events, such as a workshop, artist talk or open house, and engage with the Moontower community through social media. They will also submit a portfolio of work completed throughout the program.
In addition to a fully funded private apartment, the program also provides access to all community amenities at Moontower. Transportation, moving, living, production expenses and any additional studio space or material costs will be the artist’s responsibility.
Once the application period closes, a panel of judges will review applications and make recommendations for the artists who best meet the selection criteria.
