Background

Just outside the University of Maryland’s South Campus, College Park continues to grow as a hub for student living. With more than 30,000 students living off campus, the demand for walkable, high-quality housing remains strong. While many recent developments have leaned on size and scale, LV saw an opportunity to take a more focused approach.

In 2025, LV Collective acquired Landmark College Park through an off-market transaction made possible by long-standing relationships, local insight and a belief in the long-term potential of the site. Delivered in 2015, the 276-unit, 829-bed mid-rise community sits directly adjacent to campus, offering a location and lifestyle unmatched in the market. Since 2020, Landmark has maintained an average occupancy of 99%, underscoring its consistent performance in a highly competitive environment.

The property features institutional-quality interiors and walkable access to the heart of UMD, a top 20 public university with more than 41,000 students. LV plans to invest $2.8 million into targeted amenity upgrades and operational improvements aimed at strengthening Landmark’s position as one of College Park’s premier student communities.

New Perspective of Apartment Living

Landmark College Park gave LV a chance to bring a thoughtful, student-centered apartment community to one of the most active neighborhoods near the University of Maryland. Just steps from South Campus and the energy of Baltimore Avenue, Landmark responds to how students live now with a mix of design, access and everyday convenience.

The six-story building includes a range of floor plans — studios, one, two and four bedrooms — each furnished and finished with clean interiors that support both privacy and shared living. Inside, residents find stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, in-unit laundry and layouts that balance function with comfort.

On the ground level, an on-site Dunkin’ serves fresh coffee and donuts each day, becoming part of the daily rhythm for students heading to class or meeting up with friends. From there, residents have quick access to campus, local spots and nearby transit that connects them to the rest of College Park.

Landmark reflects a practical and lifestyle forward approach to student housing, built for the pace of real life.

Floorplans for Every Style of Living

With a range of layouts from studios to four-bedroom apartments, Landmark gives students flexibility to live how they want. Each unit comes fully furnished with in-unit laundry and spacious common areas, making it easy to feel settled from the start.

Landmark’s floor plans are thoughtfully tiered to support different lifestyles. Terrace floor plans sit at or near ground level, giving residents quicker access to the building’s amenities and making it easier to move through busy days. Aerial floor plans add design forward touches like upgraded living room furniture and bold accent walls that elevate everyday living. For students who want a little more, premium floor plans sit on the top levels and feature USB powered outlets and a 32” wall mounted smart TV in each bedroom — adding comfort and convenience where it counts.

Whether you’re living solo or with roommates, Landmark makes room for real life. From early starts to late night study sessions, these spaces meet students where they are and help keep the day moving.
